Blog Tour, Rachel's Review: Shredded to Pieces by S. Donahue

Title: Shredded To Pieces
Author: S. Donahue
Photographer: Jessica Anhalt

“I thought love would last, boy was I wrong. I gave my heart, my everything, to have it shredded to pieces. I didn’t think it would ever beat again, that was until I met Marco. To complicate things even further, my new roommate, Drew, came into the picture. My heart that was shredded is now torn. Who do I choose…the one guy who I will be safe with or do I take the ultimate risk? One thing is for sure, someone will end up hurt in the end.” -Molly
S. Donahue’s novel, Shredded to Pieces, is about lost love, lust and friendship. When they all come to the surface, decisions need to be made. Can Molly find happiness once again? Will she make the right choice? Shredded to Pieces coming soon to an online bookstore near you!

Let me start off by saying, anyone who's read my reviews knows I hardly EVER say anything negative about a book, and because I am going to here, I will NOT put this review on Good Reads or Amazon....I will put a couple words there and give Shredded to Pieces 2 stars...Please, do not think this in any way is the rule. I feel that my review is probably the exception. I beta read and first round arc so many books, that I feel constructive is better than nothing at all. It actually pains me to be honest sometimes. Helping out a couple of authors like I do, I get PM's from my author friends when they've read a bad review and they are upset, so please, if S Donahue should read this review...read it constructively and if you have any questions, please find me on facebook and ask...not in a mean way, as I won't respond, but I am more than willing to give you answers to why I feel the way I do. So read on people, this is MY thoughts and feelings....you may LOVE this story.

Rachel's Review

>>>>>>> SPOILER ALERT>>>>>>>

I'm not intentionally spoiling this...I'm going to state a fact and you may find it unintentionally leads to you figuring out the end.

Shredded to Pieces...Like the cover, synopsis makes it sound ok. So I agreed to read and review...keep in mind, I do not believe I've read any books before by S. Donahue.

I'm rating this 3.5 stars because I have to...or I can't write a review for the tour...and if I finished the book, you can read my review.

In my opinion, I never got a chance to bond with ANY of the characters because everything felt rushed.

This had a great story line and could have been a good book to read. Honestly, the only reason I finished was because I felt I had to.

Everything, the whole story, didn't get a chance to flow, to smooth out, to let me enjoy...I felt it was stilted, the characters weren't given enough of a chance to BECOME...except for Drew...I thought he was the one character that you kind of knew.

The whole book was about Molly deciding between the two guys, and btw there should have been a fun little insta love warning, it would have given this a lighter feel, and then to NOT choose and still end up the way she did? That didn't sit right. Maybe she should have just moved in with her sister. So the whole point of the book to me, was off...Now if the point was for her to learn to be herself and not rely on a man to make her happy, then the book should have veered off in that direction instead of focusing so much on the men.

Once again

3.5 Stars because I finished it
