Dick by RC Stephens: Amazon Review Tour...Rachel's Review

Title: Dick: A Bad Boys Novel
Author: R.C. Stephens
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 25, 2016
My name is Dixon Crawford—my friends call me Dick. I’m rich, divorced and I have two small kids. When it comes to women, I like to play the field. I don’t want to ever be tied down again. I met Eden at a Presidential gala and, yes, I was intrigued. When school started in September I was shocked to learn Eden was my son’s kindergarten teacher… I’d slept around with the lonely rich mothers at the school and had earned a reputation. A reputation Eden knew about… Eden was on the untouchable list—the band on her finger screamed, “I'm taken.” But when she got into trouble with her husband she asked me for help and I obliged. I soon discovered that innocent Eden had secrets of her own. I also discovered she was beyond tempting. Giving her a little friendly help turns into something bigger than I ever imagined…. My name is Dick. I'm told I'm an asshole, but you will need to read my story and decide for yourself!

Rachel's Review~
ok, so...I'm trying to figure out how to review this one. I was expecting maybe a little rom-com..it wasn't.  This was my first book by RC Stephens.  I read the synopsis which I never do...and added this to my review list...like I said..expecting a little rom com...or maybe even, since there's cheating, a lot of angst and emotion...I didn't find that either.
While it's definitely NOT comedy laden there were funny parts.  At least I thought it was kinda funny how Dick just ends up the talk of the school yard.  Anyone want a quickie??? Go find Dick.
This was more like an average rainy day read.  If you're looking for comedy...nah...
If you're looking for an angsty emotional read...it's not.
It IS an average, everyday, second chance at romance...
If you don't like cheating..well I'd imagine you read the synopsis and will pass this one by as yes, there is cheating.
I didn't really get invested with these characters, even though I really wanted to.  I liked Dixon and Eden...haven't really figured out why she quit going by Natalie though.  And her husband, well we never really got close to him either.  It seemed a little rushed for me...but it could be just because I was expecting something a little different.
So I'm giving DICK the average rating of 3.5 Stars
