Rachel's 5 Star Review~

Wow, this is the first book I've read by Author LL Collins and it was awesome!
Come on, my name's Rachel, I was drawn to the title!  Right from the beginning this book drew me in...next thing I know, I'm half way through and didn't want to go to bed.. but having to get the kids up for school and head to work, I HAD to put it down.  First thing in the morning though, it was right back in my hands.
The characters are so wonderfully well thought out.  From the awesome Rachel to Justin (Mark) and Devin (oh my--swoon--)  Who wouldn't fall for a SWAT teamer that has a tat and rides a bike!
The story flows so well, it's gripping and emotional...I was actually empathizing with Rachel.  To see her struggle with her life choices and all had befallen her because of them and then to rise above it with the help of friends and family.  A truly uplifting romance that I am so glad I got the chance to read and review.  Now, I'm off to go 1click Living Again, the precursor to Reaching Rachel...
Oh, and Ms. Collins, yes, this is the Rachel who offered to play Rachel Dawson when you finally make this series into a movie!

Excerpt
Rachel lifted her face and pressed a kiss to her favorite arm her spot. “Devin, all of these years, I’ve been trying so hard to replace you, to make my mind forget by filling it with…men. But, every time, Dev. Every single time, I was disappointed. No one can ever be you because you are the only one for me. And to answer your question, yes. I’m more than okay. That wasn’t just sex, Devin. That was you, bringing me back to life. I want to do that over, and over and over again. And next time,” she rolled over to face him, a glint in her eye. “I want it like I know you wanted to do it this time. Hard, fast, and in whatever position you want it. We had some fabulous times together. Let’s do that again.” “I want nothing more than to do it all,” Devin said, his voice low. “But don’t mistake what just happened for me just being gentle on you. I wanted to make love to you, to show you what you mean to me. I can tell you all day long, but I wanted you to feel it; feel me. My heart is beating only for you. My body is yours. I love you, Rachel.” She climbed back on top of him, pressing her body against him. “Devin,” she said, her face even with his. Pressing kisses to his eyes, nose, then lips, her body started shaking. Why was this so hard for her? She knew it like she knew her own name, but saying it was so difficult for her. “I…” She dipped her head down and kissed his ear, running her tongue along it, then his neck. When goose bumps broke out on his body, she grinned against his neck. Going back to his lips, she put her hands against his face and looked at him in the eyes. “I love your eyes,” she whispered. “And your face. God help me, that body is to die for. But Devin?” “Yes.” “What I really love?” Rachel paused, willing her body to stop quivering. “Is you. I always have.” There, that wasn’t so bad. “I have since the night I met you, and I’ve never stopped. All this time, all these years, it’s only been you for me, Dev. I know we have shit to work through. But, I love you. I do. I don’t think there will ever be a moment where I’m not completely and totally in love with you.”

Excerpt

As we run around the track, I give into my frustration. “Guys, you know that I love you both, but this is going to be just like high school. I am going to have to put up with bitchy girls because the star football players talk to us.” Both guys give me knowing smirks. “You assholes are doing this shit on purpose, aren’t you?” They don’t say anything, just look at each other with a huge grin. That just irritates the shit out of me so I pick up my pace. Troy soon catches up with me. “Please don’t be mad, Destiny.” I sigh in defeat. Troy and David know I can’t stay mad at them. They have always been there for me when I’ve needed them and heaven help me, but they make me laugh like no one else. I am screwed. They have me right where they want me. I realize too, in this moment, they are sending a message to anyone who might be watching. Son of a bitch. They did this for more than one reason. They aren’t just doing it for kicks. They want guys to know I am off limits. I get why my brother is sending that message, but what is Troy’s motivation for it? “Troy, you know I’m not mad. It’s just gets annoying. Do you even realize how bitchy girls are?” He gives me a small laugh, and as Amy and David catch up to us, I notice Ryan and Chase are not far behind. “So, how do we handle the Buffy situation?” I look over at Amy. She ponders this for a moment, and then grins. “I say we just go ahead and knock out the bitches who say something.” This causes all of us to laugh. Coach blows the whistle, letting us know our 30 minutes are up. Thank God. The guys stop to talk to Amy and me while Buffy continues sending dirty looks our way. We turn to walk away and I’m not surprised when Troy yells, “Destiny, Baby! I’ll see you at home tonight.” I stop in my tracks, look back, and shoot him a dirty look. He smirks at me. Jerk. He would say or do something stupid. He always does. Leaning into him, I place my hand on his chest seductively. My hand slowly slides down to lightly brush his dick and as it pulsates, I say, “You know, Baby, payback’s a bitch.” His arm slips around my waist, tucking me into him. I go up on my tiptoes to give him a kiss on the mouth before I saunter off, putting an extra shake in my hips to make him really sweat. I hear two groans for two different reasons. One comes from David, who does not like the little show I just put on. The other is Troy, who is probably suffering and trying to hide the serious semi he is sporting.

Will deceit tear them apart? Or can Jessie and Scott survive their mistakes and choose to love and to cherish?

Cherished is the fourth book in the Wanted series.

I love the want series and Kelly Elliot. Wanted was one of the first indie books I read.  I fell in love with Gunner and Ellie, I loved Ari and Jeff's banter and I mean who didn't fall in love with Heather and Josh. I was super excited to read Jessie and Scott's story.

Jessie has been in love with Scott since high school. One incounter under the bleacher  she thought he felt the same way. That kiss was amazing but then he looked away and seen Chelsea and when he looked back he called her tiny and crushed her.

Scott has always had a crush on Jessie and because of his fears he made the biggest mistake by not choosing Jessie. They now have their second chance and he will stop at nothing to proof his love to Jess not even his ex-fiancé.

Chelsea will stop at nothing to get Scott back and setting Jess up is in her evil plans. After one of her schism Jess takes off to hide from the pain that she is in. Scott is crushed and no one knows were Jess ran off to.

Can Scott get the one thing her cherishes Back? Will Jessie come back to Mason?

Well the gang is all back together, I just loves Jessie she was torn between her love for Scott and what she saw going on I the house. Scott for was just a little to bit of a baby. I mean I like a man who can cry and has a deep love for his sole mate. But there is only so much crying you can take from a cowboy. I wish this book would have had more Scott and Jessie and not so much of everyone.

(Jessie)
I pulled over on the side of the road and jumped out of my car. I couldn’t even see enough to drive because I was crying so hard. I frantically wiped the tears away as I looked up to the black sky and screamed, “Why?”
Oh my god. How could he do this to me? I thought we were happy? I was going to move in with him. We talked about marriage and new puppies and babies.
“Oh god! How stupid are you?” I screamed out to no one.
I felt my legs slowly giving out on me, and I fell to the ground. I pulled my knees up to my chest and cried. I closed my eyes, and all I could see was Chelsea fucking Scott. I shook my head as fast as I could. I’d never be able to erase that image from my head. Never.
Then, my phone went off. I pulled it out of my pocket.
Scott. How dare he call me!
Then, a text message came through…and another…and another. I opened the first one.
Scott: Jessie! It’s Bryce. I NEED to talk to you. Please let me explain.
Ugh. He had his brother send me a text message?
I backed out of it before I read any more.
My phone started ringing again. I stood up and looked out into the open field before tossing my phone as far and as hard as I could.
Fuck you, Scott Reynolds. I hate you. I’ll never forgive you for this. Ever.

About TAKING SOMETHING: I know what you're thinking. “You were such a jerk, Nick!” Believe me, I know I screwed up the best thing I had going in my life, but that was kind of my thing. I’d learned how to run cons before I could even form complete sentences, and I'd always been selfish. But I changed. Lila forgave me, my brother and I were getting along, and I was trying to make a name for myself in the music world. At least that was what I was trying to do when I negotiated my way into the recording studio with pop superstar Sadie Sinclair. I thought it would be a piece of cake—charm my way into her heart and into her record label's good graces. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, I got mixed up in a web of lies, manipulation, and deception. A web that had me questioning my motives and desires altogether. Was the fame and fortune really worth the price?

Excerpt:

As I dressed for lunch the next day, I made sure to pick out a short sleeved shirt. If Sadie was into bad boys, I was going to give her what she wanted—tattoos and attitude. Lila may have said that it was a bad idea to pull at this girl's heartstrings, but evidence had shown that the quickest way to get a girl to do what you want is to give her what she wants. This girl wanted someone to love her like a grown ass woman and I could do that. Not to mention, I'd spent the better part of the night staring at her photographs from countless magazine spreads and video stills. She was smoking hot. I didn't know a guy on the planet that wouldn't have taken a crack at bedding Sadie Sinclair. I had to remind my dick that my brain was the one in charge that afternoon when I walked into the restaurant and up to the table Hollace had reserved for our lunch meeting. My eyes found hers as Hollace stood up to shake my hand. “Nick, this is – ” Hollace started to introduce us. “Sadie Sinclair,” I reached out for her hand and pulled her up on her heels. She wasn't very tall, but in those shoes her legs looked like they stretched for miles out from under the little miniskirt she was wearing. I wouldn't have been a dude, if I didn't have a quick thought of them wrapped around my waist. “I know all about you.” I offered up my most seductive smile. “Well, now,” she breathed with just a hint of the southern twang she'd tried so hard to loose over the span of her career. “That doesn't seem fair, considering I know nothing about you, Mr...” Her teeth tugged at her bottom lip as she waited for me to answer and let her eyes pour over my tattooed arms. Yep. She liked a bad boy. “Nick Kline,” I answered. “It' a pleasure to meet you.” “This is the new, up and coming producer I was telling you about, Sadie,” Hollace interjected as he stood up. Sadie stared me down. It was hard to tell if she was just enjoying the view or if she was silently judging me. Sadie dropped her hand from mine and popped it up on her hip. Her eyes flashed from lust to anger in a split second. “I told you I didn't want a rookie,” she said defensively. Judging it was. As much as she wanted to sound like an artist, I had it on good authority that she was actually about as talented as pixie stick. “Relax, Sadie,” Hollace calmed her by placing a hand on her bare shoulder. “I'm on your side, remember?” “You better be,” she reminded him. “That won't be a problem for me, Miss Sinclair,” I interrupted as she dropped back into her seat and crossed her arms over her chest. I didn't care if she couldn't sing, or even read music, for that matter. I was the artist and I could work auto-tune with the best of them. “I'd love to discuss your vision and how I can help you accomplish it.”

Excerpt
I heard the drums start to boom and I knew it was time for Ginger to start her solo. She was one of my favorites to watch and I had learned so much from her since I started dancing. She had a Jane of the Jungle theme this month complete with animal noises, a huge python, and a vine to swing from. It was really going well. I turned around to watch her but what I found instead was someone watching me.
He was leaning up against the railing that overlooked the floor full of tables, while everyone else was watching the stage he was watching me. I let my eyes roam over him as he stood about fifteen feet away from me. He was wearing a black leather motorcycle jacket over a simple gray teeshirt, black jeans, and black boots. He must have been just over six feet tall and his shirt and jacket weren't doing much to disguise what had to be an amazing body… How is this shit even legal? I thought to myself. Shouldn't he have to carry a badge or at least come with a warning that looking at him would lead to a bunch of conditions; increased heart rate, shallow breathing, panting like a dog, and instantly wet panties?
The drums for Ginger's dance were pounding in my ears and I swear they were speeding up to match my quickly increasing heart rate. When my gaze came back up to his face I felt a sucker punch to the chest that knocked the breath out of me. His eyes locked onto mine and it was like he was laying me open in front of him, like I couldn't hide any part of myself from him. I have never felt so naked in my entire life even though I took off all of my clothes in front of a crowd four nights a week.
"Fuck me." I sighed under my breath.

Excerpt (Kayla’s Flashback)
Kayla, your brothers are watching you while your dad and I attend this banquet dinner. Your sisters are at Aunt Lucy‟s for the weekend. Keep an eye on things, please. All the boys are together, you know how messy that can get. Jake and Carson should be calling to let us know when they will be home. Can you please write the message down and leave it on the fridge?” my mom said to me.
Jane Williams was a beautiful woman. Many say she could pass for a model even now. I could remember hearing several of my brothers‟ friends saying those words when they met our mom for the first time.
“Yes, ma‟am.” I said rolling my eyes. Nothing I hated more than being told how to do the obvious things. I knew how to answer the phone and take a message, as well as where to put it.
“You‟re sure you don‟t want to go to Aunt Lucy‟s? We could drop you off on our way.”
“Yes, mom. I would rather stay here. I have a project to work on anyway.”
I didn‟t like going to Aunt Lucy‟s. She was a little out there in an odd way, and I much preferred to stay at home when my sisters went over there. They did all the girlie things; I was happier just getting muddy and climbing trees.
“Okay, love you guys! Behave yourselves, boys, and keep an eye on your siste,r please,” Jane yelled as she headed out the door on my father‟s arm.
“Eli, do you have some time to help me with a school project?”
I loved all my siblings, but I had bonded most with Elijah and Jake. They were overprotective but I still loved them.
“Can we work on it tomorrow, Kay? We‟re going to have some friends over and play some pool.”
I forced a smile, trying hard to hide my disappointment at not being able to spend time with my brothers, who were home on break
“Sure,” I said. “I will stay in my room and out of the way.” He hugged me and I headed to my room.
My room was simple. I had a daybed up against one wall. Across from the bed was a built-in entertainment center with shelves for all my favorite books and movies. There was a built-in desk at the far end of my room, and a walk in closet that had more than enough room for all my clothes and shoes. I even had my own bathroom. It wasn‟t huge, but it was big enough for a bathtub/shower, a sink with vanity, and a toilet. I didn‟t have to share it with my brothers or sisters, and that was all I cared about. There was nothing about my room that screamed „girlie;‟ the walls were beige and the carpet was white. The linens were lilac, as were the curtains. I loved my room; it was peaceful, relaxing, and easy to stay focused on my studies. I sat down at my desk and started working on my homework assignment.
Music started playing loudly from downstairs. I slowly made my way to the top of the grand staircase. When I got to the banister, I saw a room full of people. My brothers were hamming it up big time for the girls there. I sighed heavily and shook my head at my brothers‟ actions. Judging by the amount of people and their laughter and music, I knew it was going to be loud for a while. So I made my way back to my room, turned on the radio, put my headphones on and went back to work on the project.
A few hours later, it was late and I was tired, so I decided to call it a night. The music was still going downstairs, so I knew the only way I was going to get any sleep was if I switched to my wireless headphones and wore them to bed. After changing for bed and brushing my teeth, I crawled in bed and fell asleep in no time.
Unsure of how long I was sleeping when my bedroom light came on. I sat up and tried to get my eyes to adjust to the light. Through the blur I thought I saw my brother in the doorway.
“Jeez, Nick! I was sleeping, you know?”
I rubbed my eyes, and when I looked back the door was being locked. It was not my brother after all. Instead it was a man about the height of my brother, with a buzzed head and average frame, though it was apparent that he worked out. He wore a tank top with a vest over it, revealing several tattoos lining his arms and neck. His jeans were baggy and sagged from his waist. He had three piercings - two silver hoops in his ears that that caught the light from my room when he walked, and the other in his lip. He moved closer to me, and I noticed that his eyes were dark - almost black. He walked with the confidence that he owned the world and had a smile on his face that sent chills down my spine.
“Umm, you need to leave my room,” I said, trying to keep the fear from my voice.
“My name is Alex. I am a friend of your brother, Carson. I take it he is not coming home tonight?” His voice was low and had a menacing tone as he spoke.....

Excerpt (Jason’s POV)
I was just walking up to the front of the house when I froze in my spot. Staring at the sight before me, I watched as a woman came running from the house. Her long, brown, curly hair was flying like silk in the wind behind her as she ran. It was like watching her in slow motion.
She was breathtaking. She had perfect opulent curves, not pencil thin like most women these days think they need to be. As she ran, her perfect size breasts were bouncing along. Just looking at her was making my cock stir in my pants. I watched as she made her way down the steps trying to get her shoes off. She was down on the walk, struggling with her other shoe when she started to fall. I ran in to catch her. Her hair fell into her face as I cradled her in my arms.
For the first time in a long time, as I held this woman in my arms, I had a feeling of peace come over me. Something about this woman called to me. She wasn‟t the normal type that I took to bed when I was frustrated. She was different. I can‟t put my finger on why, but I wanted to get to know her better; a lot better. She wiggled and her breasts rubbed against my chest and I had to bite back a groan. I knew it had been a while since I had been with a woman but this was ridiculous. No woman has ever affected me like this one. Instead of making me want to run away, I wanted to get closer.
Jeez, you fucking pervert!

About the Author
Hey Y'all! PJ here. You want to know a little about me. Well I live in Indiana with my husband of ten years, our three kids, and two dogs.  I love writing and reading in any spare time that I have.  I have been writing for as long back as I can remember, but I put it aside for a while. There are many reasons I did that but mostly it just wasn't time for me to really push it, I think. My oldest son is an inspiration. He is autistic and the view he has on life is astounding. He doesn't let the bullies or negative reaction to him slow him down. My daughter loves to read just like her mama and my youngest son is a complete copy of his father it's scary LOL. My family has gone from one extreme to another weather wise. We lived in Alaska to move to Georgia. Big weather difference. Each day I view as a blessing. Make your dreams come true today because none of us are promised tomorrow. Hugs to all and many blessings.
