Synopsis~

Mira and Kylee meet Danny and Skylar during freshman orientation, their first week of college. Two sets of best friends embark on a new adventure together, forming life long bonds.
Mira and Danny are looking forward to their future as husband and wife. Everything was going according to plan. That was until tragedy struck them on graduation night leaving three broken people to pick up the pieces.
Skylar has always stood in the background, watching his best friend begin a life with the woman he fell in love with until he can no longer keep a distance.
Right when Mira thinks her life is back on track it spirals out of control. What if everything you thought you knew was nothing more than a mirage?

Rachel's 4 Start Review~

Let me start by saying that before reading this book, I did not read the synopsis, so I had no idea what the book was about.  I jumped right in and was ensnared from the beginning...I mean who doesn't love a broken down girl with shattered picture frames all around her?  It's like, go for it girl, let it all out!  I really liked Mira...she was a shattered mess after her fiancé died and wasn't afraid to show it...Skylar, well lets just say biker bad boy, what's not to like?  oh, mostly his attitude.. duh!
This book takes place in MICHIGAN, only a couple hours from my life, in places I've been, it's so nice to not just visualize, but actually KNOW where these folks are at, where they are partying...I know, so cool.  Well, since you read the synopsis, I can tell you that Skylar and Mira hook up and wow...do they hook up, and blow up, wow... who knew this fun romance could just go gut-wrenching...

" So did Heather scream out Skylar or Axe?"
I never slept with Heather. I wanted to get a rise out of you.  I swear it Mira."  Skylar says, honesty in his eyes.
"Oh right. You never slept with Heather and I never miscarried our baby."
FUCK.
For the last ten and a half months I have carried this secret. Nobody knew.  Not my mom, not Kylee and certainly not Skylar.  I never wanted anyone to know.  I wanted to take this to my grave.

wow. who'd have thought.. It got pretty hot too...

"Here's what I need you to do, other than lay there and enjoy.  You're going to use your hands to open yourself for me, and keep it open. I'm going to devour you, just so you know."

So...the end...damn it...I just didn't see it coming...I was SO mad!  I was sniffling and doing that internal head scream...NOOOOOO!  while wanting to slam the book shut.. but it was a kindle, so I had to make due with forcefully closing the reading app, finding my Amazon bookmark and checking to see if book 2 "Awakening" was out yet... grrr... NOPE!  So I guess I will sity by and patiently await book 2 in the Destined Series...Thank you Ashley Suzanne for that ending...GRRRR.
So for a wonderful story, with some serious hot spots and an ending to growl about...I give Mirage
