Rachel's 5 Star Review

Who doesn't love a good Rocker Romance? Well, if you haven't taken one for a spin yet, let this be your first. A.M. Madden most definitely hits all the right notes! Back-up is an super great 5 star read! All of her characters, main and secondary, are so well written that you can easily see them as your friends. The story flows so smoothly you don't realize how long you've been sitting there ignoring everything around you as you flip page after page after page.. time just flies! I love her writing style...here's a little snippet:

"As I drive by humiliated ass back to Hoboken, I try to analyze what the hell happened in that studio. I'm almost afraid to hope for this job. Let's fast forward and assume I get hired...the what? Can I survive being in his presence daily, when I couldn't even make it through a twenty-minute audition? What am I saying? Of course I want this job. Plus, I don't even know this man. He probably is a complete jackass. As I try to convince myself that Jack is indeed a jackass, a tiny voice in the back of my demented brain says, "You'd better hope so."
I love the way the chapters switch from Leilas POV to Jacks POV... I usually don't like all the switching, but AM Madden does it marvelously...you're not ever confused on who is doing the "thinking"! And did I mention this HOT SEXY ROCKER? well how can you have a hot, sexy rocker with no sex? duh, you can't...so here's a little "taste"

~Laying my hand on his chest, I can feel his heart pounding. Succumbing to the incessant urge to touch him, I run my hands over his chess, abdomen, and hips. Tracing his erection with my fingertips, he closes his eyes and moans, completely lost in my touch. I take his hand and lead him toward my bed... "I've dreamt of you...of kissing you...of tasting you."

The story is flying by...I'm really into it, and then I hit a brick wall.. I so wasn't expecting that curve ball... then, I get beyond that, and then dammit...along comes a smack upside the head.. what the hell...why'd that have to happen? GRRRR...so I am impatiently awaiting the release of Front & Center...at least it's not a long wait.
