Rachel's 5 Freakin Awesome Stars Review~
Oh, God, I love the way
you rumble when you tell
me what to do.
Take me, use me,
have me, David, I'm yours....

In Come Undone, book 1 of the Cityscape Series you meet Olivia Germaine.  A beautiful, vibrant, aloof assistant magazine editor, and David Dylan, one of Chicago's most eligible bachelors and architect extraordinaire.
In Come Alive, book 2, you meet Olivia a couple of months after she meets and falls for David.  At this point Olivia is miserable.  She's not only depressed, she's lost her vibrancy for life, her joie de vivre, her entire personality is nothing but a shell of what it once was.  That's what cheating on her husband Bill has done to her.  She can't stand herself and won't let her husband touch her.  She's alienated herself from her friends, the family that she's built for herself.
David left town when Olivia walked out on him.  He too is miserable...
They meet again at Lucy's wedding and the sparks fly.  Once again Olivia is pulled away from her life and into the life she'd like to have.

Decisions, decisions...
I felt myself being pulled in opposing directions, crumbling under the pressure of two men. Bill, who I loved and who had been there for me whenever I needed him  And David, who drew me in so completely that I didn't see anything but him.  But it wasn't just the way he physically consumed me, it was an emotional, intense, overwhelming consumption of my body, mind and heart.

Do Olivia and Dylan rekindle their flame, or does she stay true to Bill?

This series, so far, has been an emotionally raw, see-saw of a tale.  I find myself smiling at my kindle, getting all hot and bothered, and wanting to throw it against the wall, all at the same time.
These books are truly the stuff that sleepless nights are made from.  I honestly didn't want to put Come Alive down last night.  I was nodding off, my eyes were burning, I was having to re-read whole paragraphs, and finally, I said, NO MORE!  I will thoroughly enjoy finishing this book in the morning when I can comprehend and give justice to all of the wonderful words that Ms. Hawkins has taken the time to write for our pleasure.  And pleasurable it is, I can't wait to start book 3, Come Together this evening after my company leaves.
Thank you Jessica Hawkins for the AMAZINGLY awesomeness that has been the Cityscape Series so far.
