This was my first book I read in the fractured line series. I was worried even though it could be read as I standalone that I would not be able to keep up. Let me tell you that was not the case, I was able to keep up and I feel like I understand what happen in the pervious books. I couldn't put this book down it was emotional, the characters we so in love but in so much pain, I loved how real it felt.
This was not you happy, lovey, sappy love story all about sex. It was real , raw and emotional and you were going through the pain with each characters. Even though Fractured Lines is set in the present, Jen takes back through there past allowing us to understand there relationship. Allowing us to get a grip in how they have gotten to this place.
Finn and Carrie had to deal with one of the biggest issue in the married Finn's PTSD and they disagree with the way to handle the care. Finn wants to use Carrie as his medication and Carrie want him to go back to see his doctor. Neither agree to many lie and to much deceit. What to do next?
Fractured Lines was definitely a book you will not be able to put down. So much emotion and you feel it through each and every characters. Jen McLaughlin did an excellent job on this book. I will be reading the first 3 books in this series.
