I'm pretty sure that Backstage (book 4 up the Back Up Series) was my favorite so far. We all know the funny, sexy, laid back, quiet womanizing Bass player for Devil's Lair, Trey Taylor, but do we KNOW him? I'm so glad Am Madden decided to keep going with this series and bring us Trey's story. This was more than your average rocker romance. From sniffles to laughs, this story has it all.
I loved finding out WHY Trey turned out the way he did. I LOVED the back story on Trey's character, his first love, why he is the way he is. IS he the womanizer that we've been led to believe?
Everything we love about Trey, from his cocky ass attitude to his laughable one liners is found in Backstage along with so much more...the heart he left along the way, his family, the delusions he's allowed, former bands...everything that has made Trey Taylor who he is. We meet Tara in Encore for a few chapters, and we can see that she and Trey have a "connection". As Backstage progresses, we finally catch up with Tara again and get to know a little more about her and how she affects Trey. All around GREAT 5 Star Read...seriously, my fave of the series!

1- what prompted you to start writing? and how long did you kick the idea around?
I always loved reading. I also always enjoyed writing assignments in school. I guess life always got in the way. It wasn’t until last year that I actually set my mind to it. I had a dream and that prompted me to start writing Jack and Leila’s story.
2- how many books are you planning in the BU series?
I can’t let go of these guys yet. I do have a few books I want to get out. But, I most definitely will be revisiting The Back-Up crew in the future.
3- Do you base your characters off of any real life friends/ relatives?
LOL. There is some of me in Leila, some of my hubby in Jack. For the most part that’s it. The rest I just created characters that I myself would love to hang out with. Locations in the book are very near and dear to my heart.
4- Who is YOUR favorite author?
I have so many. E.L. James, S.C. Stephens, Samantha Towle, Alice Clayton, J Sterling, Tina Reber, Colleen Hoover, I can go on and on. I also love a bunch of my peers. Having read so many of their books as well, I am proud to be among such a very talented group of indie-authors.
5- Who is the one person you'd love to have read your books.... Only one?
If I had to pick only one, I would have to say Kelly Rippa. She once said she loves a good romance. I would die if she read my books and loved them.
