**WARNING this is book 2 of a series, please read TORRENT first..AND if you're not into AMAZING DARK AND TWISTED reads with angst, rape, pseudo incest, drug use, etc..please consider something different.  I would HATE to see this AWESOME series get less than stellar reviews because the reader forgets that this is a story, and that it is DARK and TWISTED.  So knowing that up front if you DON'T have a problem with that then keep reading baby, cuz your gonna find your new favorite series!

 

Wow, the first chapter, I was hooked.  Couldn't put it down.  There is just something about Ms. James writing that just grabs ahold and doesn't let go.
When I finished...ugh...I couldn't start another book.  I was like an addict, having withdraws!  I NEED to know what's happening...she hooks us, then lets us simmer for awhile, dangling all of these awesome freaking words in front of us, keeping the plot twisting and turning, never really giving us enough information for that AHA! moment.
Seriously, she makes me feel like I'm a fly on the wall of that cabin, seeing all of Alex's pain, degradation and humiliation for myself.  She (and I know it's overused and clichéd) transports me outside of myself and makes me feel like I'm living it right along with Alex.  I'm yelling (in my mind) NO!!!  don't do that, or Hurry!!! he's coming... It's like I'm a part of the story.  I can hear Zach's words, feel Alex's despair, and I want to reach out to Rafe, grab ahold of his hand, kiss him and not let go.  UGH.....
