Blurb
I've broken him, bent him, and burned him, and each fevered moment was worth every ounce of pain. Auburn Lawrence has loved her English teacher, Reed West, since she was fourteen. Through brainstorming stories, reading classic literature, and plenty of fiery banter, they've forged a bond that neither of them expected. Propelled by a chance encounter after her graduation, they discover just how deep their connection runs, but love requires more than chemistry to flourish. They spend three electrifying summer months discovering each other under a veil of forbidden passion and desperate lust before they learn that the unattainable is often destined to remain exactly that. By the time temperatures dip and snowflakes fly, their relationship will face a deep freeze that threatens to snap the bond they thought they shared, shattering their lives one secret at a time. Intended for mature audiences.
I've learned that love lies.  I've learned that love breaks us.  I've learned that love is a beautiful burn in a quiet corner of the heart that won't be ignored~

I absolutely LOVED Beautiful Burn, especially down to the fact that it was told from Reeds point of view as it's mostly the story of his life.  The characters are amazing.  So realistic...matter of fact the whole story is so real, so easy to believe that it makes for super easy reading, never second guessing or saying in your mind "yeah right".  I mean really, who hasn't had a crush on a teacher?  Mine was like 20 years older than me and it was a simple crush, but going to my kids' conferences, holy crap, there are some definitely hot younger teachers these days which makes this story even MORE believable.  It's so much better than a story of unrequited love, or a teacher using a student solely for sex or to make them feel better about themselves, no midlife crisis here...just an absolutely breathtaking story of love, laughter, disappointment, desire, devestation, secrets, loss and freedom.
If you want the gist of the story, read the synopsis, if you want to experience life through taboo love read Beautiful Burn. I dare you to not give it an outstanding review.  And the secrets...I can totally understand Reeds decisions as something similar happened to us this past summer, well similar to a point.  I knew there was a twist somewhere and yeah. just AWESOME.
I definitely give Beautiful Burn 5 Stars for being such an outstanding, totally believable, awesomely written story.
