Soooooo I'm kind of in love with this book. I had the worst kind of book hangover with this one. I wasn't able for almost 2 days after reading this one and I read 2-3 books a day. Love Hurts is the story of MMA Championship contender Deacon "The Hitman" Love and his girl, Frankie De Rosa. Of course, in the beginning, she wasn't his girl, but oh how he wanted her to be. Growing up with her, he's always had a fondness for her and now that they're grown, the fondness has grown. When Frankie is viciously beaten by her fiancee, Deacon, his brothers and friends drop everything to rush to the girl they grew up with to help her mend and to protect her. It's at this point Frankie and Deacon stop denying the love that's been growing for years.
I freaking loved this book so damn hard. It ran the gamut of emotion. From scared to happy, enjoying the lust to sad. I thought the characters were well developed. You really hated Frankie's fiancee and loved Deacon's adoration of Frankie. Hella hot sex and heartwarming sweetness. Watching Deacon go from a man whore to a completely devoted one woman man gave me more than the warm fuzzies. I'd love to see more!!!

About the Author
Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer. A nursing student, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met. Love Hurts is her debut novel and she is currently working on the next in the series along with whatever other voices are clamoring for attention in her mind.
