Who needs love when you have money?

It used to be enough, but now it’s not.

Not since he walked into my life and made me question everything.

Now I want more, but I know that’s impossible.

Things aren’t always as they seem.

My true self is hidden, and that works for me.

Or it did.

I hide in a bed of deception to disguise myself, and I’m good at it.

Or I was.

I’m Elizabeth Fitzgerald.

I’m a Senator’s wife.

And I hate my life.

“Just remember one simple thing: If you never date a poor man, you never risk falling in love with him.”

Elizabeth Fitzgerald, a senators wife lives a wealthy life. Cal Fitzgerald is beyond wealthy and comes from old money. Elizabeth is Cal perfect doormat, she does what's she's told, doesn't argue and put on a show to get through the day to day activity's.

Elizabeth hates her life and  loses a bit of  herself each day that she stays with Cal. Trained from a young age that a Rich man is better than a poor man. This is all Elizabeth knows. Her mother is a piece of work and I really wanted to knock her out.

When Cal decides to run for president, he hires Alex to protect Elizabeth. Former bodyguard there is and instant chemistry between this two.

So what do you do when your TRAPPED and in a married you don't wan to be in. When your STUCK because of a specific reason?

Hidden in Lies was a great read from Racheal Duncan. Slow at first but I really enjoyed this book. It was like you need to keep reading to find out what was keeping in this marriage. You just knew it was going to be good. I will say there is one hell of a cliffhanger so be prepared.

After a few minutes, he says, “I know there’s more to you, Elizabeth. I can tell there’s someone hidden inside you dying to come out. I can see it in the fake smile you show everyone, including Cal, the way you frown when you’re alone in your thoughts, and the sadness that’s lurking in your eyes. Why are you hiding?”

God help me, but there’s something in the way he speaks to me that makes me want to lay all my secrets and sins bare. He’s soft and gentle, but most importantly, I believe he wants to know more about me. He’s not asking to gain leverage or use it to his advantage, he’s genuinely concerned. And it makes me want to tell him everything. But the rational side of my brain tells me not to, so I reel in this strange impulse to divulge my secrets to a man I hardly know.
