OMG, Malevolent was SO FREAKING AWESOME. I seriously can't believe this is Cassia's first book! I mean really...where the hell did this come from? The storyline is amazing!
Gwyn, running from a tyrant of an ex-friend, happens upon Durham Heights and Earl's Diner. She stops in for something to eat and to rest for a few and meets Sheriff Brady James. There's something that just clicks. It's like she's met her other half...I know...let's just call it lust at first sight.
Gwyn sticks around, takes a job at Earls and meets Hailey who becomes her new bff.
Everyone in town turns skittish due to an 18 year old found murdered just outside of town with no clues. But soon one of their own is taken...OMG NO! I can't believe she did that..ugh...
Malevolent has a plethora of characters that you're trying to pin the murders on..from cops to cooks to the town princess Mila...who by the way, used to have a thing for sexy Sheriff Brady.
The ending is fantabulous! I CAN'T WAIT for book 2. Please hurry Cassia...I'm dying over here..

Grabbing her roughly by the arm, he hauled her back until she was flush
against him, her back to his front. Grinding his erection into her ass, he
lowered his lips to her ear. “You think you can push me like that and I won’t
respond?” He taunted, nipping her ear painfully. She let out a low moan, her
body beginning to betray her.
“You’re mine. I won’t share you, and I’ll be damned if I let anything happen to
you, Gwyn. The sooner you get it through your head that I own you now, the
better.” His hand trailed down her body, cupping her aching pussy through
