HOLY Hotness. OMG, #1 crush was short and hot but NOTHING compared to the continuation of Gabe and Nicole's story. While #1 was short, CLOSER is a full length read with the twists and turns, angst and all the emotion that #1 crush just couldn't give you due to the length. THIS is a true measure of Kaia Bennetts talented writing.
While there was TONS of sex, and I do mean TONS...there was an emotion undercurrent that ran all the way throughout the story and lent it that "something" that makes a book more than just about the sex.
I loved the way Gabe finally got off his ass and told Nicole that "YES" he wanted more, and he's not just cool with the occasional hook up anymore..especially after hearing another man answer her phone in the early morning hours.
Nicole couldn't be happier...until she meets Meredith and figures out the way the ball has bounced in the past...she tries really hard to reconcile what she and Gabe have compared to what he's trying to introduce her to...he's getting right down and dirty, and rumor has it there's more he'd like to try with Nicole. But that damn little devil sits on Nicole's shoulder, telling her she's not gonna be enough. She tries...honestly she does. but you'll have to read this scorcher to see if in the end she has to let him go or if she can be his dirty girl and keep him and herself happy.
