Audio Review: Where He Ends and I Begin by Cardeno C.

Synopsis

Aggressive, physical, and brave, Jake Owens is a small town football hero turned big city cop who passes his time with meaningless encounters believing he can’t have who he really wants: Nate Richardson, his best friend since before forever. Thoughtful, quiet, and kind, Nate is a brilliant doctor who has always known who he is and has never been able to shake his crush on loyal, courageous, straight Jake.

After a passionate night together, Nate realizes Jake isn’t as straight as he assumed, but he worries that what they shared was a fluke, a result of too much closeness for too long. For Jake, the question isn’t how they ended up in bed together because he has always known that Nate holds his heart, it’s how he’ll convince Nate that he wants and needs to stay there.

Where He Ends & I Begins is one of the sweetest, sexiest, most heart melting story I have read in a long time.
Jake and Nate are best friends and will always be.  The one thing they know is that they would always be there for each other and would never hurt one another.  What they didn’t know was they were already hurting one another with the secret each of them holds.  Nate is in love with his straight best friend.  He is straight right? He's always screwing some girl.  Jake is in love with Nate.  That doesn't mean he's gay, it just means he only has eyes for Nate.  The girls are just something to do because the only way he can get off is if he thinks of Nate.  But of course Nate isn’t attracted to him, so he will do anything and everything to keep him close, then it’s not confusing... the love he really has for Nate.
I loved how the story was read in dual POV’s and replayed the same scene is both perspectives.  That was a little different but it helped with showing you exactly what the other was thinking.  I really enjoyed seeing how each man processed and dealt with the current situation.
Alexander Collin's narration was great. He has a way of pulling me in and keeping me amused throughout the story. He really made me feel and believe Nate's reluctance to believe that Jake could really want him in any way but a friend.   I loved Alexander's depiction of Jake, who's determined to make sure Nate knew he loves him and would do anything to prove he’s in this relationship for the long haul.

I wouldn’t change one thing about this book.  The love was unbelievable.  The romance was only something you would dream about. Nate and Jake were both so vulnerable in different ways, the way Jake takes care of Nate, and how they both interact with one another, was simply beautiful.

The sex was so hot it would melt your panties.  If you love to read about sex with a great story line to go with it you would absolutely love this book and these sexy characters.   I listened to this at work, and my co- workers kept asking me what I was listening to.  They said I was smiling from ear to ear.

Perfect Narration, Hot as hell story with a mix of love and tenderness.  Everything all wrapped up in one.  You can’t go wrong!
