In a society where Men are superior and women belong at their feet, Master Zander and his slave, Phoenix, must find a way to navigate through the horrors they were born into.
Three menacing tasks are all that separate Zander from his inheritance. Three gruesome tasks and Phoenix might finally be free. The question is can Phoenix complete them and keep her sanity in check? Can Zander play the part without unleashing the monster behind the mask?
Will they rise from the ashes of their present and soar into the future, or will they both be engulfed by the flames of their past?

Oh My Goodness.  Unmasked was dark and dirty and I couldn't put it down.
This is my first read by Shannon Youngblood, now it's imperative that I pick up another from her.
Her characters were very well written, but the story line.  It's not like every other churchy or cultish story out there.
The tasks these people were burnened with. They were horrible, meant to break the mind as well as the spirit. The stuff this author came up with.  I just kept reading, mouth dropping open in awe, the little voice inside my head saying 'I can't believe she just went there' , all the while saying "YES" this is so good.
I loved it. I loved it in all it's depravity. I loved it as a wonderful romance.
Great read and I'm for sure keeping her on my radar.

Shannon Youngblood is a thirty something, foul mouthed, erotic romance writer, who loves telling a story full of broken pieces, and broken people. There is no subject too graphic, or too taboo, to grace the pages of her stories. Shannon believes that life is not always Happily Ever Afters and Flowers, and sometimes her stories might reflect that. (Non HEA's OH NO!) Shannon loves hearing from her amazing, dirty minded fans as well! Be sure to follow her on her social media sites!

Inexorable (Cavaliere Della Morte) by Jo-Anne Joseph Release Blitz with Rachel's review

Title: Inexorable
Series: Cavalieri Della Morte Series
Author: Jo-Anne Joseph
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: June 20, 2019
They call me a God, Demon, Monster,
Depends on which side of me they've faced.
I'm cold, with an insatiable thirst for blood, lust, and money.
If you've got my attention,
You're either next on my list, or about to slip into my sheets.
I'm Arthur Calthorpe, leader of the Tabella Della Morte.
I don't trust, I own.
I don't love, I desire.
I don't ask, I take.
And I want Gaia.
The silver haired tyrant is a ruthless criminal,
The first time I saw him was in my mother's bed,
But the monster has set his sights on me.
He's relentless, and he's found my Achilles heel.
When he offers me a bargain, I'm hard-pressed to refuse.
What lengths am I willing to go to be free of him, and how far will he go to stop me?
The trouble is those eyes and the fact that I want to know the story behind them.
"...THIS BOOK, y'all!! It scrambled my brain, put my heart through a blender and scorched my soul. I had no idea what I was getting into, but I never could have imagined this. This bloody, vindictive, sinister and oh-so-delicious masterpiece! ..." - Book Addict

"...This is a perfect end to this series, it has twists and turns, harrowing scenes that they have endured throughout their lives and moments of reflection and regret that humanised the monsters. Happiness is fleeting unless you work at it and pursue it and Arthur finds his happy in others pain. He is sinister and brutal and yet beautifully controlled and precise with each movement he makes against his enemies. ..." - Obsessed by Books

What a fitting end to the series.  We've be teased with bits and pieces of Arthur throughout the series and finally, FINALLY, we get the why's.  Why he is the way his. Why he does what he does.
Spot on, this story was back and forth, past and present, so we get a good all around of Arthur and how he's become King.
But Gaia. Oh Gaia. I do believe she's my favorite "heroine" out of the whole series.
Wonderfully well written, steamy, the perfect ending to what was my favorite series of the year.
Jo-Anne Joseph did a wonderful job of bringing Arthur to life.
What a complicated, twisted time these two had, living the life they'd led. But a fabulous tale to finish off a wonderful series.
