What happened in the prologue - chapter four?
TATTOOED SCARS picks up soon after the end of TATTOOED EMOTIONS. Damien wants Raelyn to move in with him, but she tells him it's too soon - but he insists.
Raelyn is struggling with her workload now that she's the only partner at her firm, and she's even taking on a new client, Annabelle Faye. She's considering taking on a new partner and talking it out with with Iris, her best friend and roommate, when she also decides to tell Iris that there's a possibility her tumor may be back.
Damien shows up in the middle of their girls' night with moving boxes and Iris has a melt down about them moving too fast - she's worried he's going to hurt Raelyn, just like Raelyn's ex-fiance did. But Damien reassures Iris of just how much she loves Raelyn and she gives her blessing.
Unfortunately Raelyn has a meeting with her oncologist following an MRI, and she gets the worst news she could get from her doctor.
