This is technically a book in a series based on a group of friends finding their happily ever afters, but each can read as a standalone, and you won't be left floundering at all.
Jackson is an architect by trade, multi-bar owner by happenstance and a veritable workaholic. He dates on occasion looking to check off the points on his marriageable check list. He's a wonderful man, looking for a wife and kids and that little white picket fence.
What happens when he finds Skylar? She's the perfect yin to his yang. She makes him let loose, feel and have fun...but she's really not the marrying kind...no stability, no stick around factor, she can't envision a future in any one place with any one person...not even Jackson...because really, everyone leaves sometime, no one sticks around forever...when the going gets tough, the world falls apart.
Their chemistry was hot, the writing was excellent as always. I love the interconnection with friends. I like that they're always all together, we still get glimpses into each couple we've come to know.
When Skylar gets pissed off and decides to get revenge on a ass grabby customer Jackson's world falls apart.
This was an enjoyable, engaging read.
