HOLY EFFING SHITBALLS...
The PERFECT SONG for this book?
This Isn't Over, Baby is all about that devious, dark, death defying Gabriel Sharpe.
And Oh My GAAAAAH was it phenomenal. Dirty, Dark, Bloody...
K. Webster finally tells us just what made Gabe who he is and why. And we get Hannah...War and Baylee's daughter...time has passed, and she's 18 now...and that makes Gabe late 40's early 50's I'd imagine. I never really did figure out Gabe's age. I was too engrossed in the actual story to try and figure it out...not that it matters anyways. He's just that hot as fuck older man that we're all attracted to. (listen to me, Older Man...WTF? I'm close to his age LOL)
Anyways, I digress.
This starts out wonderfully. Is it nature or nurture or vice versa? What do you believe?
I think it's an even fifty fifty split. A lot of it comes down to how you're raised and what you believe, but can you overcome your chemical make-up?
Cleary Hannah can't. Do you remember Warren's mother? The little episode he remembered when we found out just why he was so mental? Well, when you've got all that crazy ass running through your system it's not a wonder you're a little off base, even if you did have a wonderful mother and father trying to teach you right from wrong. But dayum. I don't believe they asked for Hannah and all she consumes.
Hannah is fucked up...plain and simple. I don't know any other way to put it..oh wait, maybe a sociopath of the first order. It's all about her and to hell with anyone else.
Unless it's Gabe. When they meet for the first time..Oh Lord...
When he finds out she's not his...HOLY FUCK!
This was a totally messed up, crazy assed read and I freaking LOVED it.
I don't know if anything I've read by K. Webster has been this good.
I can't wait for This Isn't You, Baby!
