Title : Draw Play
Author : Tia Lewis
Genre: Sports Romance
Jake
lives and breathes football. When he’s not demonstrating his skills
on the field, he’s busy putting the moves on every hot girl on
campus. The last thing he needs is a tutor cramping his style … but
curvy Claire gets under his skin in more ways than one.
Claire
can’t stand football players, and Jake is just as cocky and
arrogant as the worst of them. He’s also impossibly sexy. Despite
their frequent arguments, she starts to see another side to him --
and finds him increasingly hard to resist.
When
they finally surrender, the heat they generate could melt the North
Pole … but is Jake really willing to sacrifice his image for
Claire? Or will she be left on the sidelines with a broken heart?
Theresa's Review~
Boy do I love a good sports romance and Draw Play by Tia Lewis was no different. As story about finding oneself and realizing ones worth, this story has the perfect amount of love and angst.
Jake is a star football player who has let practice, games, partying and girls lead his way through college. When his grades aren't up to par, his coach gets him a tutor to ensure that he succeeds on and off the field.
Claire is a nerdy college student who has the goal of going to law school and she will study her butt off to achieve it. When her work study at the bookstore is reassigned and she discovers that she is tutoring a football player, it is the worst thing she could imagine. Claire has a sordid past with football players that left scars, some still raw on her heart.
As Claire and Jake begin working together, Claire sees that he is more than the football god image he portrays and Jake sees that Claire is better than the football groupies he usually goes after. But Claire's past holds her back and Jakes concern with what others think stands in his way of happiness.
Will these two make it as a couple? Read to find out!
