I laughed under my breath before stepping forward and punching the emergency stop button on the elevator.

“What are you doing?” she asked, her eyes wide in her face. Her pale face. Ever since that douche stepped into her space, all the color had been sucked from her skin.

Which is how I knew she was fucking lying to me.

No former client would have given her that kind of reaction. That guy knew her. And not just biblically, but definitely that too, given the crazy-ass gleam in his eyes when he looked at her.

When I didn’t answer right away, she fidgeted, crossing her arms over her stomach and then letting them drop again. Then she swept a hand through her hair, making sure the curls were still laying over one shoulder.

“Beck and call, right?” I rasped out, leaning my shoulder against the wall of the elevator.

“What?”

“You. You’re at my beck and call for these thirty days, right? This being day one.”

She mimicked me, leaning her shoulder against the opposite wall, essentially facing off with me in the small space. “That’s right. Do we need to discuss this now?”

There was a slight edge to her voice that I’d never heard before, and I wasn’t ashamed in the slightest to say that it hardened me even further. “Why not?”

“Because I prefer not to have business discussions when I’m in a box that’s suspended sixteen floors above the ground.”

“We’re not going to have a discussion.” I straightened, undoing my belt. Her eyes tracked the slow movements of my hands.

“I’m not having sex in this elevator.”

“No, you’re not.” I raised one eyebrow, and lifted my chin at her. “You’re going to get on your knees for me. I want to know what your lipstick looks like on my dick.”

Hello...Sorry I'm coming to the party late.

Addicted is the FIRST of Alex Lucian's Tempting Series that I've read...and now it's imperative that I go back and start at 1. Rumor has it we meet that sexy boy Elias in more than just Addicted...but you CAN read this one as a standalone and be perfectly, joyously, sexified and fulfilled.

Elias has no desire for the same shit everyone else does...he doesn't want a girlfriend...he doesn't want chick flicks, meeting the family and happily ever after with 2.5 kids, white picket fence and a dog. He wants sex with an attractive woman when he wants it and he doesn't want her to think anything more of it....just sex..so he hires escorts.

Ruby is said escort. She is super intelligent, excelling in Religious studies (and yeah..she's a glorified prostitute- I guess it is supposedly one of the oldest professions LOL ) She has a bachelors and one masters down already, trying to complete another..without all the debt of student loans...so...yeah..

Being my first Alex Lucian book I didn't know what to expect...but DAYUM....baby, does the sexy get HOT! whew... and I'm so glad there's the underlying dark tales of Elias, the loss, the disbelief in organized religion...and the way Elias and Ruby connect...it brings so much more than just one hot sexy encounter after another. They literally ENJOY each others company. It's not all sex...or I hate you but lets get naked...or your my teacher or stepbrother...

While it's not unique, it's done really well. I mean really well....I mean, did I mention I was gonna grab the other books now? well.

Like a solid, sexy 4 stars well.

Like who the hell is Alex Lucian and I've gotta be a sally stalker now...
