Maddie McGuire is the First Daughter and she's a little bit wild, taking action without thinking through all the consequences.
Jake Simmon is the Vice Presidents son, ex-Marine and amputee. He's had a rough go of it and his mother (the VP) is taking advantage of the Jake's career.
As a punishment Maddie and Jake are thrown together in a sort of Habitat for Humanity venture, only this ones supplies housing for ex military members.
The characters are so well written I could feel Jakes anger and Maddies pain, her compassion, her caring. You could feel the vindictiveness roll of Virgina Simmon when Maddie and Jake decided to act on their feelings.
Bedmates might sound like a sexy little number but in reality there are SO many emotions and different aspects rolling throughout. We get a great story line, super characters and all those feel goods. I admit to being an emotional reader and near the end? I had tears rolling down my face. What could be better than a tear streaked face and a feel good story?
