Synopsis
Tristen has never lost anything because he’s never had anything. An orphan since age 2, he was passed from home to home miserably. He had never felt love and as a senior in high school didn’t think he ever would. He accepted that long ago and lived his life with thrill, no rules and freedom. Zoey on the other hand has everything to lose. A junior in high school she has things to prove, especially to her parents. She made one bad decision that led to many others sending her into a downward spiral. Her life had become rule after rule and regretfully she had to accept it. When their two worlds collide they have to learn acceptance, forgiveness alongside how to make it through the utmost misfortune. And they might discover love in the midst of losing it. Is it worth it to love someone with the reality of the possibility of losing it?

Losing You by Brooklyn Taylor is a story of two teenagers from very different backgrounds who come together, forge a friendship that later turns into a romance where they each learn something about themselves and change their outlook on their lives.  Zoey has a difficult home life due to her mother's illness; an illness that keeps her from truly being a teenager as she has to act as caregiver due to her mostly absent father who is away working.  Tristan has been in one foster home or another since his parents death when he was 4.  while he has been with Mrs. Reynolds the longest, he has this feeling of abandonment and worrying about the future, and not the future that most teenagers think about, but the immediate future of where he will live when he turns 18.

What Tristan and Zoey don't realize is that they have so much to learn about themselves and each other but the most important thing that they learn is to forgive.  Forgive the things in their lives that upset them, but also forgiving themselves for the things that they have done in the past.  this story will pull on your heartstrings and have you shedding a tear or two while also having you hope that they will be able to get past the things that hold them back from truly being happy.

About the Author
I currently reside outside of Austin, Texas. I'm a mother of 2 amazing kiddos and married to my gorgeous soulmate for almost 20 years. I have a full time job in the medical field but would rather be spending my time writing! I love to spend my free time reading, being outside and playing with my family and 4 fur babies. I started to write at the instinct of "hey maybe I can do that!" and haven't stopped since. I have enjoyed every step of the journey. I am blessed to have very supportive friends and family that make my life worth living!
