A first by Cara Chance for me, Sold to her Father's Friend was a little less than I'd hoped for. I was kind of looking for a big drama laden story about a girl sold off to pay her father's debt...Dirty, dark, sexy and intriguing.
What I got was more like insta love that tried to be a little dark but Jace just couldn't pull it off...there really was no intrigue, kinda sexy.
To me it felt hurried (yeah, I know NOW it's a super short) with no chance to connect with any characters or the story line. It felt like I'd read the same story in 5 different books. I love a darker themed, bdsm-y bad boy romance so I was personally a little disappointed that it wasn't LONGER...wasn't more involved.
If what you're looking for is a sexy insta-love then it's right here waiting.
