THERESA'S REVIEW~
Six Years Gone is a story about a teenager who hasn't had the best childhood and chooses to numb her pain on a daily basis with prescription drugs while coasting through life. Sawyer can only rely on her brother Owen and her best friend Sloane to always have her back no matter what. She guards her heart with the highest of walls and it's almost impossible to penetrate them.

Lachlan is from the rich part of town, living with his aunt and his uncle. On the baseball team and hanging with the popular kids in school..he is tired of the way his "friends" treat people and he goes out of his way to help Sawyer one night when she runs out of gas.

Lachlan and Sawyer are drawn to each other and they don't know why since they are so different but they attempt to start a relationship.  Sawyer has a secret that she believes will ruin what they have. But before she will ever know how Lachlan will react, he tells her his father died and he has to return to Australia but he will be back.

Lachlan isn't able to return for 6 years and what he comes back to rocks his world to the core. Sawyer hasn't stopped loving him and hoping one day he would return.

This Is my first book by this author. While the plot had promise, I feel it could have been developed a little more for me. And that ending....I expected an epilogue or something but it was like the last word was typed and that was it. I would have a hard time recommending this one.

Author Bio

Jessica Gouin hates talking about Jessica Gouin. Especially in the third person.

I’m a fairly normal person from Windsor, Ontario. I was born here, grew up here, met my hubs here, and had my children here. I really couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

More than anything, I love watching my children grow every day. They amuse the hell out of me. I swear they were sent to earth to provide my life with comedic relief. My babies (I say babies, but they’re 5 and 8, still and forever will be babies, am I right?), and my husband, are the reasons why I get up every morning and continue to fight the good fight.

When I’m not enjoying my mommy-life, I’m writing. Writing is my stress reliever. I go a little mad when I’m not creating an escape path for the characters in my head. I love, love, love to read. I’m a reader first, always have been. I try to branch and read all types of genres, but I always seem to come back to those epic love stories. I’m a sucker for a great kiss. When I need breaks from the literary world, I have a few shows that I watch with the hubs; The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries, Chicago Fire, and Grey’s Anatomy are my favs. I love rain storms, a good laugh, strong coffee, sleep, and anything with chocolate. I hate mean people, the outdoors, heights.

I genuinely become ecstatic when I receive a like on my Facebook page, or when someone reaches out to say they liked my books. So, thank you for stalking me because I love it!
