After reuniting with her lover, Jane Doe thought she finally found her place in life.

She has a name, a family and a declaration of love from the enigmatic Edward Rochester, but in a single moment of violence, everything is destroyed. In the aftermath, she’s has no choice but to flee Thornfield if she hopes to save herself from the same darkness that has claimed him.

Alone and afraid, Jane turns to the only person she knows can help, John Rivers. He gladly offers her refuge at his art studio and it is here she hopes to find the way forward into a new life… but Thornfield and the secrets it holds are not done with her yet, and neither is Edward Rochester.

When she comes face to face with the woman who orchestrated her attempted murder, Jane is torn apart by revenge yet again. She’s trapped in a game she does not understand and it’s only the love of the man who wronged her that will save her from making the most fatal mistake of all.

Before all is said and done, Jane must face her feelings and ask herself the ultimate question if she hopes to survive.

Is love enough?

This was book 3 of the Thornfield Affair and must be read in order. If you have not read the rest of the series this review will most definitely be a spoiler for you, fair warning.

Zenith is the grand finale of the series. The culmination of Plain Jane Doe and the awakening of heiress Jane Eyre. We get the down and dirty conflict here as Jane runs from Edward, Bertha and Thornfield...straight into the clutches of John Rivers. We get to journey with Jane as she makes new friends and tries to stand steadfast against known enemies.
Amity Cross weaves a wicked tale of treachery and jealousy. I love that fact that the deeply desired HEA doesn't fall out of thin air but is attained through heart break, disaster and romp through London.
There was plenty of antagonistic behavior and what should have been really suspenseful fell kind of flat for me. I don't know if it was my mood, the dreary day or what, but even though I read this through in almost one sitting well into the night while I should have been sleeping...it just left  a little to be desired. Like I said, it may have just been my mood, dreary and depressive as it was because overall this was given great ratings by others, but just average from me.  I will say however, the dialogue did end up wearing on me. It was so formal, so old fashioned, yet the book takes place current day...maybe that was part of it...I just don't know. I can't pinpoint why, but it just wasn't all that for me..I think my favorite of the three was book 1.
