It Started with a Kiss by Melanie Moreland is a cute story about a shy, awkward girl who while doing a favor for her best friends kisses a stranger and falls head over heels in love with him. This is my first book by this author and I would definitely read her work again in the future. If you are a reader that enjoys insta-love and yearns for the perfect happily ever after with little to no angst, then this is definitely the book for you!
Avery is a shy, eclectic girl who loves to munch on mints. Doing a favor for her best friend Beth, she is to kiss a stranger for a social experiment. Daniel Spencer is highly competitive and after losing a bet to his sister, he is signed up to volunteer to kiss a stranger. What neither of these characters realize is that volunteering to kiss a stranger will forever change their lives.
Avery and Daniel both feel a pull unlike any they have ever felt before and while they barely know each other they begin to date. Daniel's appreciation and love for everything that makes Avery who she is gives her a confidence that she didn't have in the past due to the cruelty of her peers and other men that she dated. Watching these two go full speed ahead into the unknown and begin an intense relationship was intriguing. And the sex scenes...well they have more sex out of the bed than actually in it but they are super H O T hot!
