This is the first book in the corrupted series by K.M. Scoot. And let me tell you I was hooked. The story of Ryder and Serena had me drawn in. This will have you staying up all night trying to discover what will happen.
Parents dying when Ryder was younger left him homeless. Uncle Floyd took him in but at a cost. Ryder had to underground fight to pay his way. He lived in the warehouse to make it convenient to fight. At the end of his debt and almost free, floyd sells him to Robert Ericsson. A wealth business man talking hime in as his "son". Ryder was able to move in to the house was given close, food and part of his winning from fighting. He was given one rule, stay away from my daughters. After month of living in the house Ryder has bonded with Serena and the two can't seem to stay away form each other.
When one night went to far and a sister who is a backstabber everything in Serena life changes. She is pulled from the only place she lived and shipped off to Italy. Two years have passed and Serena is home. Feeling out of place she just want a glimpse of Ryder. Nothing has changed for the two of them and the chemistry from two years ago is still the same.
Live is miserable when you have a father who rules your live and everything you do When the plans to break free and start a new live with each other are changed. Everything crumbles when Robert threaten Serena with the one thing that will stop her. Her Mother. Crushed and depressed this two are in a hard place. Things change and now this two just need to survive Robert.
I was sucked in to this book. Part one felt more of Ryders part of the book. As he tried to survive his new life. In part two of the book, two years later. We had Serena's story and her survival. Loved this two and their character, even though they are from two serrate world this can relate to each other. Each have been told what to do their whole life. Janelle, serena sister, I did want to knock her out but I know she was part of the story. All in All I can't wait to start the next book.
