Devastated isn't your typical happy go lucky, read easy as you please story. It's gritty, it gets downright mean and you can't help but feel for Annabelle. I went through not liking her at all, thinking she was a spoiled little brat to feeling sorry for her as she gets pushed and prodded, to pulling for her by the end of the story. I can't wait to see what's in store for book 2 as Annabelle grew so much as a person and a character. The story line is great. The trials that Annabelle endures to become that stronger person were steeped in sadness. The authors writing is wonderful. She pulls that emotion from you. Any time you "feel" for a character, that's great writing! So many questions my mind threw at me while I was reading.. I kept reading and reading to see what happens next, who's HIM, why now, what about Liam...so on and so on...perfectly leading, wonderfully written to keep you flipping pages. The ending...yes, it's a series. Are you left with a huge cliffy? NO. What you are left with is MORE questions.... Book 2 better not be far off... js

~London Michelle created a magnificent page turner of a book with this one. I was hooked from page 1 and I am already asking her when book 2 comes out. There's romance and unexpected twists, along with characters I can't wait to follow along their journey!
