Lead Me Home is the third book in the Fight for Me Series. The readers finally get Ollie's story. I have wondered about Ollie since the first book in this series, hoping that he would be able to somehow find resolution regarding the disappearance of his sister so many years ago and open his heart up to love.

Ollie and Nikki have been friends since they were young, when Ollie and his sister Sydney befriended Nikki at the bus-stop. They were inseparable since then eventually adding Rex and Kale to their group. Ollie changed from the teenager he was into the hardened man that has appeared in this series due to the disappearance of his sister Sydney from a lake party. Ollie has never let her go and continues to look for her even though her case is considered cold by the police.

Nikki has loved Ollie since she was young, a love that almost took flight before that fateful day that all of the members of this tight knit group cannot seem to forget. While Nikki has decided to earn a degree so that she can help others, trying to move on with her life knowing that Ollie will never open up to her the way she needs or wants him to, Ollie remains stuck in the past, not wanting to let go of what happened because it was his duty to look after his sister.

Nikki and Ollie dance around each other and play a game of push and pull that has the reading wanting to take Ollie and shake some sense into him, while encouraging Nikki's decision to walk away because she cannot deal with her heart being hurt by him anymore.

When her apartment is ransacked one night after her internship, she has no choice but to stay with Ollie for the time being, tempting both of them with the desire and need that has always been present but they have been able to resist by refusing to be alone together. Now that they are in close quarters and Nikki is in danger, Ollie seems to be coming to his senses regarding his feelings for her.

Nikki and Ollie seem to finally want to make their relationship real and official after he makes a claim to her in the middle of Olive's on the dance floor. Just when these two seem to be getting their love on track, the rug is pulled out from under them leaving the reader to wonder if they can even recover from the secret that is revealed.

This story will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions while reading. That is one of the reasons why I enjoy A.L. Jackson's books so much, the reader watches as the characters practically reach rock bottom before the redeem themselves in the end.

This series is a must read!
