Wow! Break My Fall by M. Mabie is a book like nothing I have ever read. It was intriguing and captivating at the same time.
Abraham or Abe as he is referred to by the world left what is nothing more than a religious cult of which his father is the leader years ago. When he brother dies of a heart attack Abraham returns to Lancaster for the funeral and cannot wait to leave once he gets there. That is until he meets his brothers wife Myra.
Myra has lived in Lancaster her whole life and has followed the teachings of the church as she was taught to from a young age. Once her husband dies she begins to question things since she doesn’t feel grief as a wife should and wonders why her marriage was never consummated.
When Abe returns to Dave Myra from a fate that is not her choice, he marries her and takes her from Lancaster to the real world where she needs to adjust to a different life. While Myra begins to find her way in the new world, Abe begins to form real feelings for Myra and wants to start their relationship as normal relationships do...with dating.
But while at a BBQ of some friends that also denounced the church they once lived by, Myra goes missing and Abe is distraught.
What a cliff hanger! I need to know what happens...did Myra hear what was being said about the place she once loved and called home? Or did something happen to her? I need to know yesterday!

M. Mabie lives in Illinois with her husband. She writes everything from steamy romantic comedies to angst-filled, pull your hair out drama. She enjoys it all. With her unconventional love stories, she tries to embody "real-life romance."
She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne's World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happens. Almost.
M. Mabie usually doesn't speak in third-person. She promises.
