Dominick was the Mancini Brother that was most interesting to me...always broody, stuck in his ways, quiet but profound when he dished out advice to his two brothers, when he actually weighed in on their lives. I looked forward to his story and I have to say that Piper Rayne did not disappoint.
Dom was married to his job, earning more prestige and money was all he focused on. Valentina was the woman that he has known since he was a kid, has been protective of since he was a child but believes that they cannot have the relationship that she deserves or needs. Dom walked away from Valentina one before and it crushed him and Dom knows that he cannot survive losing her again.
What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. When Dom sees Valentina in Vegas, they do the unthinkable, they get married. But when trying to get an annulment, their italian families intervene, demanding that they give their marriage a try for three months before they call it quits. The guilt of their families is huge and Dom and Val decide to give the perception that they are trying, for their families.
This story is heavy with emotion and the need and want for a second chance but not knowing if you are worthy of that chance or if the outcome will be what you hope for. I fell in love with Dom and Val throughout this story and I was cheering for them, hoping that despite all of the obstacles in their way, that they could make their relationship work. I know that you will love this amazing love story as much as I did.
I CANNOT WAIT to read Blanca's story, especially now that she has been taken into the Mancini Brother fold.
