In my defense, I didn’t know who he was. To me, he was a cool, calm, confident stranger. He was perfection for the entire hour and a half train ride while the concrete jungle turned into a rolling green landscape.
To an outsider, we probably appeared more friends than hopeful lovers. But my blush came quickly, and his dimples indented with every smile. We definitely shared a spark of what could be.
Too bad I didn’t know who he was before I fell for him, because he can’t be mine.

In true Piper Rayne fashion, these amazing authors have once again given their readers a story that will make you laugh, will make you shed a tear while wanting to throw your kindle across the room once or twice. My Bestie's Ex is the first book in The Rooftop Crew Series and as with every one of their series, I cannot wait for the next book. Just as every other book they have publishes begins, the reader is given a small request, this one from Blanca Mancini, that reviewers do not provide details or spoilers in their reviews so that each reader who dives into this book can experience it the same way that I did for the first time. With that being said, I loved Blanca's sassy mouth and drive to achieve in all areas of life when I met her in the White Collar Brother's Series and I am so glad that she is getting her own series! I also loved that the reader was able to get a glimpse of the Mancini brothers that we all loved throughout this book and it was a perfect way to catch up with their lives. I cannot recommend this book or any of Piper Rayne's books enough. I jump on the chance to read each and every one and more often than not, I devour the book in one sitting. 4 stars
