| What a great story from a new to me author. And while this is part of the Axel Alley Vipers series...if you absolutely HAVE TO...you could read this as a standalone...I did, and it was great...but now, I need "the rest of the story". I absolutely adored Cole Black...even in all his messed up glory, or perhaps because of it. And Piper? Don't get me started....what a doll. She has a heart of gold and can't believe that anyone would do anything other than honest because of it. Cole has admired and had the hots for Piper, his best friends sister, since she was seventeen and he finally "really saw her". And Piper has been in love with her brothers best friend Cole ever since she can remember...only now, it's not a high school girl crush...it's What the Hell is his problem..kind of Love...why can't he see me for the Love I have to give kind of love... This started out kind of fun and snarky. I loved Pipers attitude and some of the stuff that would come out of her mouth...not to mention her wardrobe malfunction at her brothers wedding...I was literally laughing out loud. Then, when she began "project GET COLE" and the stuff she was pulling...OMG...soooo funny. I did feel for Cole. One can only imagine being the cause of someone's death...but he really needs what Pipe can give him. And I was pulling for him constantly...saying to myself...come on man, just GIVE IN already. The stalker twist? That was pretty good and actual brought a little suspense to what was otherwise a funny, relatively happy love story. The sexy was great...the writing was superb...and I've gotta go see what else Sherilee Gray has to offer...right after I read the first two in this series. 4.5 Stars |
