Masquerade of Submission
by Carly O'Shea
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Light Erotica

Caitlin was familiar with broken hearts; hers had been shattered years before. She knows what she wants, but is afraid no one will understand. She takes the advice of a friend to try something she’d never attempt on her own, hoping to find the love she so desperately yearns for.
Gavin’s work was the solace filling the empty void in his life. Everyone he knows has found that one person that fills their hearts and lives with all they desire. Everyone but him. He signs up for the service that worked for his best friend in a last ditch effort to give his life purpose.
Two Masques…
One Chance….
Will they take it or let forever slip through their fingers….

Rachel's Review~
This was a super short read.

Caitlin is a family lawyer. One would think that would be fabulous and her family would be happy for her. Not so much. Her mother finds her wanting...always...So as an escape Caitlin heads to her cottage on the Oregon Coast.

Gavin is an ad exec extraordinaire...he's not married, and really has no see, he's looking for someone who's independent, self sufficient, yet can be submissive in the bedroom.

On a deserted beach on the Oregon coast, it literally falls into his lap.

Gavin and Caitlin meet and they find themselves in "LIKE" with each other and would love to see where it goes...

The characters are well thought out, the writing style was great and the editing excellent. I enjoyed this short story, but I was expecting a little more..something a little racier..something a LOT more dominant. Caitlin didn't think Gavin was all that commanding when she slept with him, that's what I think surprised her the most...and I kinda felt like Caitlin. Maybe just a little let down since there wasn't the dominance that I kind of expected.

Meet the Author

Carly O'Shea grew up in the Pacific Northwest, coming from a small family she was often creating imaginary friends and situations for them to play in. Everything that had happened over time influenced Carly, good or bad, weaving stories in that little notebook.

When she is not writing Carly can be found reading a book in a corner somewhere or her kitchen cooking dinner for her family to enjoy in the Charleston South Carolina sun. However, true to her craft, she is usually writing, earbuds in her ears sitting on the corner of the couch engrossed to the point of ignoring the world around her.

Carly's stories created out of the depth of her imagination, her escape now shared with readers. Her life of continued tragic events and hurts gives the stories she writes a realistic feel, absorbing you into the worlds she creates.
