Now here's my review~
I started Wicked Mafia Prince at midnight, otherwise it would have been done in one sitting. I started this morning on chapter 8, now, I'm finished and wanting more. Oh yeah, make sure you read Dark Mafia Prince beforehand...it IS a series.
~Hell is only disappointing to those who were expecting Heaven
Viktor didn't believe in Tanechka. He thought she was a double agent, he was led to believe this, and as such his punishment was harsh. He threw her over a cliff, expecting her to die. He was young, so young...and believed with all of his heart that yet another had let him down. Years later, trying to take back his birthright, he stumbles upon a nun who won't show her face. He can see wisps of her hair, he can see the way she comports herself and in his heart of hearts he believes it IS Tanechka..still alive, on a mission to free the virgins in the brothel. Soon, he knows he'll be reunited with her and she can absolve him of the guilt he has felt for SO very long...
Only things don't go as planned...
Damn it all, Annika Martin. You have created this American/Russian mafia story with great characters, a wonderful story line, and you most assuredly know how to pull us out of our stupor, into this scary, dark, death filled world you've created, using only words. Words which seem so simple until put together so flawlessly. Once I started reading I couldn't stop. I had to get to the bottom of Viktor and Tanechka. See how that played out...see if Kiro's been found...Yes, I know his story is all his own, but still, a hint maybe?
Wicked Mafia Prince has moments of purely erotic scenes thanks to Viktor and his memories...OMG...he had to have frightened the ever loving shit out of a novice nun...LOL
AND, not only was there death, destruction and mayhem...but Bloody Lazarus...OMG when he was talking about Valerie..I about died laughing..just picturing him rolling up with his guards to bring her along so she can see just what she really is helping with...TOO funny.
Another great story in this mafia saga...now, to wait....
