Jasmin
I was blissfully living my life as a tier one security contractor, shooting guns and killing bad guys. My life was perfect. Almost. I was missing something; a missing piece of time to be exact. For the last two years I have tried to remember the details of my capture and torture. Two years willing my brain to remember. Nothing. I could remember nothing.

Then he walked into my life, actually he pushed his way in. It was hard not to notice him, tall, bossy, and sexy as hell. He had no respect of personal space, he used every opportunity to get close and breathe me in. He demanded my attention, whispering the filthiest words in my ear and that was all it took. A few words on his part had me yielding to his every demand.

As one secret after another was revealed, lies are exposed and the missing pieces of the puzzle are finally put together. A nervous breakdown was surely in my future. My entire life was a lie.

Just when I thought I could take no more; I am faced with the most important mission of my life. If I failed it might cost the one man I have ever loved his life- Lincoln Parker.

 Lincoln

She was MINE. She can fight it all she wanted, but in the end I would have her, every way a man can have his woman. She was a sassy little thing, making me work to bend her to my demands. But I will! I will bend her and tie her to me so tight she would never be able to get free. Only problem is I had to break her first. I had secrets that she needed to know. I have fought to get back here, two years breathing in filth and scum. All for her- my warrior princess. Now all I had to do is make her remember.
This might be my toughest mission yet. None of my SEAL training or my time in the CIA has prepared me for this; a prickly five foot nothing hellcat, Jasmin Smith.

Nightstalker is book one in the Red Team series. Each book is standalone with a HEA.

Warning* 18+ explicit and graphic sexual content and language.

This is Riley Edwards debut book.  It brings to mind the Troubleshooters series  that I love by Suzanne Brockmann, only without the humor.
Nightstalker is code name for Jasmin Smith. She's part of a covert clean up company Z Corps who regularly works with the CIA to handle that which the government needs to keep on the downlo.
She's the only girl of the bunch and she's treated like one of the guys, only she knows they all love her like a sister and keep extra watch over her. She has night terrors and gets blinding headaches...hmmm...
No spoilers here.
Lincoln Parker, new to the team, with plenty of secrets of his own, he goes by the code name Ghost.  Everyone has heard of his stellar career, his accomplishments and they're happy to have him on their team.  Did I mention LOTS of secrets?
Join Jas and Linc as they get their answers, take out the bad guys and maybe just maybe get all hot n horny.
The writing was good.  It's hard to say with the editing because I got an arc that clearly stated it had to go back for final edits...and there was permission to hit her up via email if we found errors, but I read this literally last minute and haven't submitted an email, so maybe down the line, I'll read the final version and see what's changed.  The story line was interesting, kept you entertained enough with the sexy and the suspense-y.  I personally didn't care for the back and forth between Jasmin and Linc. I didn't like all the ' I"ll have sex with you but I don't like you' stuff...I never have...the push and pull, the drama between those two characters just didn't do it for me, but some people like that...so keep it in mind, read it for yourself.  There are quite a few 5 star reviews for it already...
I'm going with 3.5 based on the fact that I didn't really connect so much with Jasmin. I found her hard and rude.  She DID need someone to "tame" her. LOL.  And I found Linc not quite assertive enough to do the job...I can't go into more detail without spoiling it, so I'm gonna leave it there.
It's well worth the read and I'll definitely follow the series and read the next. I love to see how authors grow from story to story!

3.5 Stars
